In 2020, Springer Nature became, for the first time, net carbon neutral taking into account emissions associated with our offices, fleet and flights. We achieved this by purchasing green energy, reducing our energy consumption and by offsetting other carbon emissions. As publishers of the latest in climate research, we are committed to raising awareness about climate change impacts and mitigation, including with our approximately 10,000 colleagues.
